SkoobiSlate is a personal task manager made by SkoobiLabs LLC (“we”, “us”). Your tasks are yours. This page says exactly what we keep, where it goes, and how to take it with you or delete it.
What we store
- Your tasks — titles, notes, due dates, priorities, checklists, goals, lists, recurrence rules, completion history, and the messages you exchange with the in-app assistant. These live on your device first. If you sign in, they are also stored on our servers so your other devices can show the same slate.
- Your account — by default SkoobiSlate creates an anonymous account with no personal details. If you sign in with Apple, we store the identifier Apple gives us and the email address you choose to share (Apple’s private relay address counts). We use it only to sign you in and to link your devices.
- Diagnostics — crash reports and anonymous usage events (which screens are used, how often sync runs) so we can keep the app working. These are tied to a random device identifier, not your name.
We do not collect your location, contacts, photos, or advertising identifiers. SkoobiSlate shows no ads.
When you use Chat, text goes to an AI model
The assistant inside SkoobiSlate is powered by Anthropic’s Claude. When you send a message in Chat, that message and the task information needed to answer it (for example the tasks on your Today list, or the task you are asking about) are sent through our server to Anthropic’s API to produce the reply. Under Anthropic’s API terms this data is not used to train their models. Nothing is sent to any AI model unless you use Chat.
Every change the assistant makes to your tasks is shown to you in the conversation and recorded in your activity history, so you can always see what it did.
Connecting other AI assistants (coming)
We are building a way to let an AI assistant you already use (such as Claude or ChatGPT) read and update your SkoobiSlate tasks. If we ship it, it will work only after you explicitly authorize that assistant from inside SkoobiSlate, you will be able to revoke the access at any time, and what you share with that assistant is governed by its provider’s privacy policy. We will update this page when that feature is available.
Importing from Microsoft To Do
SkoobiSlate can import your tasks from Microsoft To Do if you ask it to. The import is one-way and only runs when you start it; we never write back to Microsoft. The sign-in token Microsoft issues stays on your device.
Service providers
We run SkoobiSlate on a small set of providers that process data only to provide their service to us: Supabase (database, storage and sign-in, hosted in the United States), Anthropic (the AI model behind Chat), Sentry (crash reports), and PostHog (anonymous product analytics). We do not sell your data and we do not share it with anyone for advertising.
Your data is portable
Settings → Export gives you every task as a JSON file, any time, with no account required. You own it.
Deleting your account and data
Email ask@skoobilabs.com from the address on your account, or see Delete account. We remove your account and every task, message and diagnostic record linked to it within 30 days and confirm by reply. Deleting the app from your device removes the local copy immediately.
Children
SkoobiSlate is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Changes
If our practices change we will update this page and the date at the top. Material changes will also be noted inside the app.
